G.3c and d Tessellation, Symmetry, and Transformations Project
With this project you will need to create a shape/ object which will tessellate given a specific plane. Your plane will be a plain white T-shirt which you will need to provide. I will provide fabric paint, fabric markers, and puff paint to design your t-shirt. Before beginning your final project, I would suggest you try the tessellation on a sheet of paper and choose your colors wisely.. i.e. if you choose blue and yellow you might need up with green. Remember once you start to design on the T-shirt, it will be permanent.
**If you have any questions or concerns, you can post them to the discussion tab at the top of this page. Tessellation Video: http://www.phschool.com/atschool/phmath07/video_tutor/yrwtess.mov
During and after the project, you will be required to have a discussion on http://tappedin.org/. You may discuss any troubles you have run into while creating your shape/ object. Another topic you may discuss is whether you enjoyed this project or not.
Finally pictures of the shirts throughout the project and the finished t-shirt will be uploaded to GoogleDocs.I hope you enjoyed the project and remember you can use the discussion tab to ask me any questions or if you need more materials.
